A couple of days ago I mentioned a project that I’ve been working on that is a bit out of the ordinary as far as Grid Views go.One of the issues I’ve had is that the edit template doesn’t map to the view template very well. You see, the data that gets stored back to the database during the edit could go to two of four different tables.
The first line of code you need to make sure you include is “e” represents the System. Other places talking about the Grid View and Updating a Row sitecore with gridview – rowupdating event doesn’t fire – gridview to in web.config resolves this issue. Row Updating event, doesn’t work as all samples say it should do.
your web.config would then look like : ui.webcontrols.repeater ui.webcontrols. All samples of course assume you’re doing everything in your page, but I have to do …
But the view is generated from a stored procedure that gathers the information from those tables and makes the result look like it came from one table. NET, C#, Node.js, Java Script, HTML, CSS, Boot Strap, and Angular. Does your team need additional help in any of the above?
So how do you have the Grid View update the database under these conditions?
Data Set, a connection string, a query string that is SQL SELECT statement, and a string that is the name of the My SQL table.
My Sql Platforms: Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Professional, Windows Server 2003 family, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 family, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 family.
It's quite straight forward - and works well for the most primitive data types. Loading seems not to be the issue - the conversion from postgres to works fine - but on Update - the exceptions are thrown.
"time with time zone" or xml either a Missing Operator- (xml = text) or an Invalid Cast-Exception occurs. Here the example code, To reproduce the issue - just setup a database with a table - first add only primitive data-type rows (int , uid, string, text ect.) test it - and you'll see - update just works fine.
Refresh Schema if any of these properties are modified, or value of the My Sql Data Adapter.
If you assign null to corresponding property of My Sql Data Adapter, the My Sql Command Builder will be disassociated from the My Sql Data Adapter, and the generated commands will no longer be used.
You can get all removed rows by as j Query selection. You can get the updated row using data.row, you can get related record with data.record. This event is raised when selected rows on the table changes in anyway.
